WHEN THE WINE IS FINISHED PART 2
THE EXCELLING WORD FOR TODAY
When The Wine Is Finished Part 2
John 2:3-10
And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine._v 3
His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it._ vs 5
Your are welcome once again to a
brand new day, that you have never seen before and after today will never see
it again, so my dear reader make good use of it.
In our last series, which is the
part 1 of this series, we discovered that the wine of this Nation is exhausted,
so also the wine of many homes/houses are finished. Why the remaining few are
almost finished. And we saw the first cause of the problem.
We saw to it that when the man with
the solution of the peoples problem is sitting with the floor members and the
prominent men with no solution are sitting up on the high table, sitting in the
office of decision making. The wine will always go down and eventually
finished. So also we said if we must survive this time we need to take Jesus to
the high table not just to be a member but to be the chairman, both in our
nation, in our homes and businesses.
One vital point I saw in that
scripture, that baffled me, was that Jesus was sitting down there when the wine
got finished and his presence at least, even though he was not the chairman,
could not stop the dryness. It's really an eye opener to know that Jesus could
be by the corner and watch your business go down, he could be by the corner and
watch death snatch your loved ones, he can keep silent and watch your wine get
dried, and watch you embarrass your self to the end. If you are doubting this
truth ask Apostle Peter in the bible, where Jesus was, when he was sinking.
Many believers today always think
that for them to at least acknowledge Christ's existence and get a
denominations to belong, is enough for Jesus to be committed to them and their
affairs. At least they will endeavour to be punctual in their church activities
every week or every month. Some try to bribe Jesus with so many church
activities, to some they feel like when they fast and pray Jesus will know they
are serious. My brethren, let us tell our selves a raw truth. JESUS CHRIST IS
THE LORD OF ALL. IF HE IS NOT THE LORD OF ALL THEN HE IS THE LORD OF NON.
So if the only part of your life
that you have given to God is that part that goes to church on Sundays and
special programs, the part that goes to church departmental/group practice,
that part that remembers to pray whenever you have a nightmare or a serious
problem, that part that keep God aside in the aspect of relationship with the
opposite sex, that part that keep Jesus by the corner in the matter of money.
Then get ready to enjoy the dryness of the wine of this nation and in your
family, don't complain. Just know that Jesus will sit by that corner of your
life you have kept him and watch your wine dry up. Because He has to be the
LORD of all for him to stop that embarrassment.
Hallelujah! I really thank God for
the life style of Mary and the role she played in that occasion. Even though
she was regarded as the mother of Jesus, she did not allow it get into her head
at all, because deep In her spirit she knows Jesus is more than just a son to
her. She went ahead and cried out to him for help, because he is the LORD. Let
those of us who have made Jesus the LORD of our all, still learn to cry out to
him. Don't assume he knows, make it official to him that the wine in your home,
in your business, in your denomination, in your ministry etc, is running dry.
He will definitely tell you where you have gotten it wrong or what to do. Don't
keep silent.
Mary did not stop by telling Jesus.
Even though Jesus was not properly recognised, she refused to pretend that she
does not know who Jesus really is or she does not know what Jesus could do. She
went ahead and announce Jesus. It's true she might have not got the influence
or access to the leaders of the occasion but she has got access to the servants
of the occasion. So also, we who know Jesus, should be bold and proud to
introduce him as the answer to the dryness of our Nation, our families, our
offices, our businesses, churches, regardless of what any one is saying
contrary to your opinion. Let us also be confident to tell everyone and anyone
who is willing to listen not just hear, that WHATEVER HE TELLS THEM TO DO, LET
THEM DO IT.
Remain blessed as we watch out for
the Part 3 of this series.
Shalom!
