Ability To Prove The Good, The Acceptable and The Perfect Pt 10 _ The Progressive Mind

Romans 12:2 

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

You are welcome to a fresh new day, which you shall surely Excel in Excellence. 

In our today's devotion we will continue with the 5th point of the progressive mind; ‘Embark on The Mind Renewing Process'. ...Continuation. 

IV. Go For The (God's) Word. Simple Exercises of God's Word  

And these words which I am commanding you this day shall be [first] in your own minds and hearts; [then] you shall whet and sharpen them so as to make them penetrate, and teach and impress them diligently upon the [minds and] hearts of your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up. And you shall bind them as a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets (forehead bands) between your eyes. And you shall write them upon the door posts of your house and on your gates. 

_Deuteronomy 6:6-9 (Amplified). 

a. Keep The Word in Your Heart 

Take the word from the letters on the book, transfer it into revelations in your mind. Actualize this by: 

i. Studying The Word: 

“Study to show thy self approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" _ 2nd Timothy 2:15 (KJV). 

ii. Memorizing The Word. 

“Your word I have hidden in my heart, that a might not sin against you" _ Psalms 119:11 (NKJV). 

b. Master The Word (you shall whet and sharpen). 

Sharpen yourself in the word so you can present it exciting to any but first to yourself. Be skillful and be excited about the word. 

c. Teach The Younger Ones The Word. 

Psychologically, whatever you have taught won't be easily forgotten. And also teaching, especially diligent teachings, help to sustain a lesson from generation to generation. It is vital to both the young and the old; to the young (both to the young in mind and the young in age), it enlightens and equips them; to the old, it makes them mentors and models of the word.  

d. Talk The Word Sitting Down. 

Only serious matters are talked about with a full consciousness and demand of sitting down. Take the word seriously when talked about. Demand a sitting audience. 

e. Discuss (Talk) The Word Walking. 

When walking on the streets to discuss the word. Apply the word always in any casual discussion of yours. 

f. Share (Talk) The Word Lying Down. 

When relaxing on the bed with your spouse, siblings or family members and friends, learn to share the word. Even in the night, when there is ‘light out' whisper the word before closing your eyes. Make sure the word is the last thing you say before you sleep. 

g. Speak (Talk) The Word In Devotions 

Make it habit to always observe your morning devotion when you rise up from sleep and share the word. Even when it is not morning hours but you get up from sleep, say the word. Let the word be the first thing you will say immediately you rise up. 

h. Hand-Band The Word. 

Thank God today this particular exercise is being seen, whereby some people develop different styles of hand-bands with the word written on it. In those early years of my ministry, I was not really comfortable with believers putting on hand-bands, but I stopped being restless since I got to know that it could be worn with a purpose of promoting the word both to the consciousness of the wearer and to others. If you can do yours. 

i. Frontlet The Word 

Frontlets are forehead bands. These bands can also be achieved like face caps, head band, head warmer etc with the word written on it. 

j. Write And Paste The Word 

Develop a habit of writing and pasting God's word in your houses, on your gates, doors, reading table, wall mirror, bed side, cars, walls etc. If you can, write on some places, get stickers of the word, calendars, flex, banners, posters and paste them on strategic places for your sight. 

k. Embody The Word. 

Finally, I will add, give the word a body to live in, which is your body. Let the word be seen in you, in your day-to-day living. Make your life the bible which men can easily read. Your action speaks louder than your voice. Actions are explanations that bring out the expositions of human mind. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks and the body acts. People hear more of what you do than what you say. Do you know that “the loudness of you action (your attitude) will always deprive people from hearing what you have said or will say?" It is good for the word to be seen around you and on you, but remember God ordered the people of Israel that the word should first be seen in their mind (heart), which is to say that it should be seen in your person (your character) because the inside controls the outside. So it is better for the word to be seen in you from your behaviour. Go for the word today and set your mind on the reliable continuous speed lane of renewing. Because it is only the word in your heart that will create a standard for the choice of what is good, acceptable and perfect will of God for your life.
