ABILITY TO PROVE THE GOOD, THE ACCEPTABLE AND THE PERFECT
THE EXCELLING WORD FOR TODAY
Ability To Prove The Good, The
Acceptable and The Perfect
Romans 12:2
Do not be conformed to this world
(this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs],
but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new
ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is
the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good
and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]._Amplified.
The Good
I know it is no more a news that
whatever is good, is good. And every one needs that which is good for them. But
life has taught me, that not everything that is good is good for all and this
scripture further buttress this point. So it is good not to just seek for that
which is good only, you need to go beyond just being good because it may be
good but not good for you. Be wise!
The Acceptable
Whatever is good for you must be
acceptable, vice versa. If it's good, and not acceptable then it's not for you.
So also if it's acceptable but not good, do not even consider it. Because if
it's not good then it can not be acceptable.
The Perfect
Many are always seeking and desiring
the perfect will of God for their lives. But they don't know how to get it.
Many have gone to the point of seeking to hear from them that claim to be the
eyes, ears and mouth piece of the gods and spirits, to tell them that which is
perfect for them. What a confused state of life, meeting the devil to tell you
the mind of God for you. Hmmm!
Whatever you need in life, if it is
not good, it can't be acceptable, if it is not acceptable it can't be the
perfect will of God for you. So whenever you are looking for what is good for
you, you need to consider also that if it's not the perfect will of God for
you, then it is not good enough for you.
If it is good, then it is good; if
it is acceptable also, then it is better; finally if it is the perfect will of
God, then it is the best. But the question here is: Do you really know the best
for your life? If No, then do not pursue His perfect will first of all. There
are things you need to do before that.
Watch out for that, in the next part
of this series.
Shalom!
