When The Lord Sends You

Luke 9:1-2,10 & 10:1,17

9:1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. 

9:2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

9:10 And the apostles, when they were returned, told him all that they had done. And he took them, and went aside privately into a desert place belonging to the city called Bethsaida.

10:1 After these things the LORD appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.

10:17 The seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name._ Amplified.

When you take your time to study these scriptures, you will discover that the event recorded in chapter 9 is similar to the event recorded in chapter 10. Their results were almost similar but their response was completely different. So also the responds and acknowledgement of Jesus was completely different. Jesus was more excited with the result and response of the 70 than the result of the 12. Whereas the outcome of both groups were very similar. It really startled me, why was it that way?

Jesus empowered the twelve (12); gave them power and authority over all devils and sent them out to minister round the community. They came back with results, they told Jesus all THEY DID as Apostles. And Jesus did not make any comment, he quickly took them inside for a reprogramming.

Just like the 12 apostles act in this matter, so also today's church have drifted into that same error and the worse part of it all is that there is no 'PHYSICAL JESUS' who should restrain us inside our closest to correct us. The Holy Spirit who was supposed to do what Jesus did to the 12 for us today, has been so silenced that His voice is no more heard in the midst of our noisy results.

Did you notice that the 12 actually got results? Can you still recall that their power was from God? I hope you still bear it in mind that it was actually Jesus who sent them. But in all, they came back to give account and were busy talking about themselves. They forgot completely that THEY WERE SENT. Jesus never applauded them, he just kept them silent, for all the hidden pride to manifest.

I hope it should have dawned on you at this juncture, that one can be CALLED by God, SENT by God and have OUTSTANDING RESULTS, but still God does not approve of his strategies and style of functioning. Which makes every results of his, unacceptable. And the Spirit of God will be trying to tell such one to go back into the closest for a proper deprogramming and reprogramming, but the noise of the crowds ovation will silence the voice of the Spirit in their hearts. What a pity and a great loss and waist of time it will be when some of us will be restricted into the closest finally by death and the master will tell them "all the work you did on earth for me, was actually for yourself". What a pity.

Many of so called church leaders today don't even remember any more that they are supposed to be accountable, not to talk of listening to the voice of the spirit calling for a restriction from the public.

I pray this error wont get hold of you reading this post today. Whenever you sense the Lord sending you on an assignment, you must learn to be accountable via mentoring. Also develop the inward ears that hear the voice of the Spirit despite the noise of distractions around you. Men who have learnt this in ministry, are actually the ones touching the Masters mind.
