And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.




The Amplified version presented it this way: And such as violate the covenant he shall pervert and seduce with flatteries, but the people who know their God shall prove themselves strong and shall stand firm and do exploits [for God].

My fellow believers in Christ, we are in a time when we Christians have to wake up, stand up, buckle up & then take a forceful move to fully & confidently represent the God we serve.

I have come to discover that many religion in our today's Nigeria are into revival except Christianity. Even though deep in our hearts we know that Christianity is more than a religion but still we are the only ones experiencing deterioration. Take a look at the Eckankers, there was a time they were ashamed to be known in the public but now there is a revival among them, they carry their stickers all over the place. What about the Islams, who have taken over major Christian nations in the world today. And they are on a serious revival, still taking over lands and territories. We the Christians what are we doing? Nothing! The only thing most of us know how to do is talk, condemn, criticise and enjoy the pleasure of the world. Most times we even go as far as criticising our fellow brethren trying to make a little impact in their area of influence. God help us.

Going back to our text in the book of Daniel. The bible says there will rise up a king that will come with an agenda to take over the people of God. But the people of God he will succeed in deceiving will be the ones who have already been living a kind of life that breaks the Covenant of their God. Such people show cases the form of godliness, they go to church, members of various denominations, most time they are workers in their various churches but they live a life that violates the covenant of the same God they claim they serve. The bible says these are the kind of people that, that king will be able to deceive with flattering words. Same verse says, but they that know their God shall be strong and they shall do exploit.

Which means that scripture has classified the people of God into 2 classes: 1). The people who do not know their God & 2). The people who know their God. Did you discover that the qualification of the people who do not know their God, was based on the kind of life style they live not based on their declarations and confessions. They don't keep the covenant of their God.

So how do we know the ones that know their God. The ones who know their God can not be deceived because they keep the covenant of their God and it is working for them. It is evident in their strength, and they are also seeing exploits from the covenant they keep not the covenant they know.

MY BRETHREN IF YOU KNOW GOD, YOU WILL KNOW WHAT IS NOT GOD.

Why the remaining few are almost finished. And we saw the first cause of the problem. We saw to it that when the man with the solution of the peoples problem is sitting with the floor members and the prominent men with no solution are sitting up on the high table, sitting in the office of decision making.
