UNDERSTANDING SIGNS OF GREATNESS PART 7 

1 Samuel 10:9 
And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day. 

King Saul of the bible days was a very timid fellow, a shy person who has no physical traits of leadership in him, who thinks the only thing he was good for, was his family's business. He continued in this delusion, until the signs of greatness started unveiling.  
1. The loss  
2. The Sent One 
3. The Anointing. 
4. The Prophecy.  
5. Good news Carriers.  
6. Carriers of Favour (Blessings)  

7. The Manifestation Of Spiritual Gifts 
As long as the Kingdom business is concerned, when it comes to being destined for greatness (high specific assignments), spiritual gifts are inevitable. In 1st. Corinthians 12:7 the scripture declared that the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. You can't be great towards any spiritual agendum without the manifestation of spiritual gifts. And this manifestation is given to all not to few. Prophet Samuel told Saul in 1st. Samuel 10:5-6: After that thou shalt come to the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with a psaltery, and a tabret, and a pipe, and a harp, before them; and they shall prophesy: Vs 6; And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man. 

Prior to the manifestation of the gifts of the spirit, Prophet Samuel told Saul some striking things, which I will like to itemise: 
1. “You shall come to the hill of God..." Please dear readers I submit to you the truth that is undeniable. The Manifestation of the Spirit can't be possible without coming to the hill of God. The hill of God means, the house of God or a place of set apart with God (a place of consecration). So before you desire any of the gifts of the Spirit, you need to encounter God on the hill of God. 
2. “You shall meet a company of Prophets..." One thing that is very sure on the hill of God is that you will definitely meet the company of like minded ones who will definitely challenge you and sharpen the gift of the spirit in you. “...and they shall prophesy...And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon you,...." says Prophet Samuel. 
3. “And you shall prophesy with them,..." There's nothing that spurs up gifts of the spirit like being in a right company of men and women who have gone ahead of you in the manifestation of their spiritual gifts. Being in such company alone can bring out an unusual manifestation of the Spirit from your inside “and you shall be turned into another man." 

But still in all, no matter the manifestation of spiritual gift you have experienced or you will experience in life, never you think you have arrived the place of your greatness. They are all signs of greatness. Because Greatness in the life of the kingdom is a journey with the Spirit not a bus stop, which only the Spirit can lead you to your place of fulfillment. Until you get to the place of your throne never let gifts or other signs of greatness deceive you.
