BECAUSE OF THE WORD Part 1 

Matthew 13:3-8,18-23 20. 
The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21. But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away (NIV). 

My excelling men and women, today I am so excited to bring to your door post this words of encouragement directly from the throne of ‘Grace'. I know this word will spur you up for excellence in your work with God. From our text above JESUS was explaining the parable of the sower, the seeds, the receiving ground and the environmental conditions. The Sower is he who shares the word. The Seeds are the Words of the Kingdom. The receiving Ground is the Heart of the receiver. The environmental conditions represents the Evil One and his strategies. 

Please take note that all the seeds that the sower sowed, had one impact or the other on the receiving ground. Some fell on a walking path, which represents the people who hear the Word of God but don't understand it. Some others fell on the rocky ground, which represents the hearts that receives the Word of God with excitement but does not have a strong root in their hearts. Also some other fell on thorns, which represents the people who gets the Word but the worries and deceitfulness of Riches never allowed it to grow at all. While the other few fell on good ground which represents the people who hear and understand in their hearts. My dear readers it is so clear that all the attacks of the 4 types of hearts (people) were because of the Word. 

NOTE Because of the Word: 
1. The Birds came. 
The birds represents the evil one who is always roaming about looking for whom to devour. Bear in mind whenever he knocks on your door just know that it is a sign that there is a Word (Seed) of greatness in you. Don't get confused or get carried away. But the truth still remains that he will definitely steal away any Word meant for you that you don't have good understanding about. Beware! 

2. The Heat arose. 
The heat represents the persecutions, trials, troubles and problems of life. As a believer whenever you see so much heat around you, one thing you must guide jealously is that Word of prophecy from God for your future. Don't stop meditating on it, because the heat has come to scorch any word that is not deeply rooted in you , to make sure it withers away. Don't be deceived into thinking you don't have anything for the devil to attack you for. Just hearing the word alone, even though you don't understand it, is enough for the birds of the air to come visiting. So also if you hear the word you didn't really take time to give it a tap root in your heart. You allowed excitement to take you over, it means you are trading on a dangerous ground. The heat must surely come because of that word and if the word does not have a tap root in you, then forget it you have lost that word. 

Be alert! Beware! Be warned! Don't fall a victim.

In our last series, which is the part 1 of this series, we discovered that the wine of this Nation is exhausted, so also the wine of many homes/houses are finished. Why the remaining few are almost finished. And we saw the first cause of the problem. We saw to it that when the man with the solution of the peoples problem is sitting with the floor members and the prominent men with no solution are sitting up on the high table, sitting in the office of decision making.
